Saturday Sampler Specifics

Ok folks here are the exact details for Saturday Sampler (as written by the boss, store owner Amy!):

American Quilting announces our 9th annual Saturday Sampler!

-This Year the theme is an “Everyday” quilt using
red, robins egg blue, pink, green, taupe and a few
other colors. It is a mystery. You will not see the
finished quilt until June of 2014.

– This class will be fantastic for beginners as well as experienced quilters. There will be applique, but the piecing will be fairly easy and repetitive.

-Sign-up fee is $40 & must be paid at time of sign-
up. Sign up is between May 1st and June 8th.

-Saturday Sampler begins July 13th, 2013

-SS is always held on the 2nd Saturday of each
month

-Doors open at 9:00 a.m.

-First Demo begins at 9:15

-8 repeating demos will be held at 15 min after
& 15 minutes before the hour, throughout the
morning.

-Last demo begins at 12:45

-Attending a demonstration is not mandatory.
However, you must come into the shop that day
(& bring your last month’s blocks) to pick up your
kit if you don’t want to pay $5. Store hours are
9:00am-6:00pm.

-You are required to come in that day, and bring
your blocks from the previous month in order to
get your next kit for free.

-SS patterns are not meant to be shared
with anyone who is not enrolled in SS. They
are copyrighted and will be published as a
purchasable pattern after June 2014. The quilt is
an original design created for this program with
great written instructions.

-If you miss SS for two consecutive months,
we will assume that you have dropped out and
someone from our waiting list will take your place.
Your $40 sign-up fee will be forfeited.

-There will be times when you will need to pay
$5. They are listed below*. You will never pay
more that $5 a month even if several reasons
apply to you. Please don’t ask my staff to make
exceptions.

* You will pay $5 if you do not complete your
assignment from the previoust month.

* You will pay $5 if you send someone else in your
place.

* You will pay $5 if you miss SS for any reason.

* You will pay $5 if you don’t bring your completed
blocks with you and show them to us.

I am also offering Saturday Sampler to people who live far away. here is how it will work . . .

They pay the $40 sign-up fee

Give us their information – address, email phone

We will get their Credit card number over the phone.

Each month we will charge their card for $9.50. this will pay for their kit with the instructions in it, and the shipping costs.

All kits will be sent the Tuesday following the 2nd Saturday.
