Square-in-a-square blocks for this month’s sampler

I’ve had some of you ask questions about the Square-in-a-square blocks for this month’s Saturday sampler.

Here are the instructions:

Make (3) square-in-a-square blocks, one with yellow and tiny print, two with purple and light gray.

Center squares: Cut into 2 5/8″ square (yellow fabric and 2 from the purple)

Outer triangles: cut into 2 3/4″ squares (2 from the tiny print, 4 from the light gray). Sub-cut all 6 squares once diagonally.

Sew your square-in-a-square blocks as we did previously. Square up each block to exactly 3 1/2″
