The last few months I have been working hard to finish up the stack of projects I have. I’m happy to say that I finished 3 quilts! I decided I wanted each of my kids to have a quilt made by me on their beds, so I have been working away at that for my two children who sleep in beds (ages 4 and 2). I wanted them to be quilts that they could hopefully love and keep forever, so not too juvenile in pattern or colors.
This quilt was for my son. I found a quilt that I loved on Etsy, and recruited my mom to help me decide what colors and size to do the triangles. I also decided that I wouldn’t have it quilted, but just sewed the front and back together with a button opening on the bottom for the duvet. He IS a boy and probably doesn’t want the complexities of sheets and all that junk as he gets older 🙂
I finished my Saturday Sampler from last year! This was my first year doing Saturday Sampler and I completely loved it. I love the fabrics and loved all that I learned (as a beginning quilter!). I opted not to put on the yo-yo’s but maybe I will change my mind later. I also just realized I haven’t filled the duck’s basket yet. Better get on that…
And finally, the quilt for my daughter (age 4). I found this adorable fabric at American Quiting (of course!)Â and loved it. I felt like this line of fabric fit what I was looking for perfectly. I found the pattern on Moda Bake Shop, so it was free! It is a little big for her Ikea bed so I am on the hunt for a taller twin bed…
Needless to say, she loves it.
Now I have a whole new stack of projects for Christmas. So much for being on top of things!!
