Did you know... In 1907, the publisher of The Farmer's Wife magazine began a contest for young children to sell subscriptions? In exchange, the children received prices such as bicycles, cameras, and rifles. Most of the children worked for the grand prize, a Shetland pony with accompanying saddle, bridle, and often a carriage.⠀
The Farmer's Wife Pony Club ended in 1918, but not before they had given over 500 ponies to grateful boys and girls across America. ⠀
Introducing our new BOM class, a new Farmer's Wife with the Pony Club Book. In total the class will include making 90, 8.5" blocks over 12 months! ⠀
